Context

NeueHouse Madison Square continues to position itself as a home for creative leaders, cultural conversation, and thoughtful programming. Live More was brought in to curate an intimate experience that celebrated emerging Black filmmakers while fostering meaningful dialogue and community connection.

The event centered on MOVERS, a Tribeca-premiered short film by Juan Wood II — a recipient of the Johnnie Walker x BlackTag Creator Grant — spotlighting independent storytelling and creative mobility.

What Happened

Live More curated, hosted, and marketed an exclusive film screening followed by a live Q&A and networking reception. The evening brought together filmmakers, creatives, and cultural leaders for a shared viewing experience and conversation around storytelling, career pathways, and creative ownership.

Why it Worked

By anchoring the event around a meaningful piece of independent work, the experience felt purposeful rather than performative. The combination of film, conversation, and community allowed partners to support creativity without overshadowing it — positioning NeueHouse as a cultural convener and Live More as a thoughtful curator of space, story, and dialogue.
